I have been aware of the testimony of Micah Wilder for many years, so I was naturally excited to get my hands on this book - but wow, I was unprepared for what I was in store for。 Micah dives deep into very personal, and often times painful, memories of his experiences in leaving the Mormon church and the spiritual and social hardships he went through。 But the end result is fantastic。。。 gripping story that is beneficial to anyone who reads it whether they are involved, have been involved, or eve I have been aware of the testimony of Micah Wilder for many years, so I was naturally excited to get my hands on this book - but wow, I was unprepared for what I was in store for。 Micah dives deep into very personal, and often times painful, memories of his experiences in leaving the Mormon church and the spiritual and social hardships he went through。 But the end result is fantastic。。。 gripping story that is beneficial to anyone who reads it whether they are involved, have been involved, or even never have been involved with the LDS church。 Micah's testimony of what God did in his and his family's lives will renew your faith no matter where you are in your own personal life。 Passport to Heaven is a page turner as I read it overnight in one sitting。 It is packed with emotion and doesn't shy away from the hardships he faced。 But it also puts the focus on why those hardships were necessary, and how much his life has changed for the better because of them。 Micah's words and example of God's patience and love and power of transforming his life will be inspirational to any and all who read it。Highly recommended。 。。。more

Micah Wilder has written an excellent memoir on his journey from Mormonism to Christianity。 He carefully details this journey, using multiple scriptures to mark the differences between Mormon beliefs (working your way to heaven) and true Christian beliefs (only faith in Jesus gets you to heaven)。 The story moves back and forth in time, starting at the end of his mission and looking back to the beginning of it and what happened to him along the way。If you are interested in understanding who Jesus Micah Wilder has written an excellent memoir on his journey from Mormonism to Christianity。 He carefully details this journey, using multiple scriptures to mark the differences between Mormon beliefs (working your way to heaven) and true Christian beliefs (only faith in Jesus gets you to heaven)。 The story moves back and forth in time, starting at the end of his mission and looking back to the beginning of it and what happened to him along the way。If you are interested in understanding who Jesus is, this book is for you。 If you are interested in understanding why Mormons are not considered Christians, this book is for you。 If you are interested in learning how to talk with a Mormon about true Christianity, this book is for you。Wilder is passionate about his faith, and that comes through clearly in this book。 He treats the Mormon church and those still in it with respect。 His deep desire for them to find real faith in Jesus is tangible。This memoir is completely family friendly。Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of the book。 Opinion is mine。 。。。more

Micah Wilder has been writing this book for 14 years! He shares a lot of emotions, feelings and thoughts of his experience in great detail。 He set sail into the Mormon mission world full of fire to bring as many people as possible to the one and true church, and he was a man of big vision, he wanted to convert a Baptist pastor too。 The greatest thing about this story is that it only proves what the Bible says: seek and you shall find。 Micah Wilder was honestly looking for the truth and he found Micah Wilder has been writing this book for 14 years! Interesting, inspirational story of a young man’s journey of faith。 Devout in his faith, he journeys through his two-year mission trip in search of Jesus。 I received an advanced digital copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review。
